Introduction My name is Jo Caswell and I am a portrait artist. I have long believed that having a portrait painted should be available to all who are looking for that special, very personal piece of original art. My ultimate goal is to give you the client an individual and affordable service that will surpass your expectations. Having a portrait painted is an important undertaking for both artist and client. I offer a sophisticated and innovative alternative to traditional portraiture that not only documents an individual, but aims to provide a unique and compelling work of art. Capturing the essence of the individual is the driving force for my keen interest in the human form. I love to reflect the true personality of the sitter by building up an understanding of them. This is done initially through a meeting and photographic session and then through continuous study of the sitter over a period of time. Unlike a photograph, a successful portrait will capture not just a strong resemblance, but also the sitter’s true personality and characteristics. |
